O&P Education Seminars


This site is designed to offer orthotists, prosthetists, and other Allied Health professionals content related orthotic and prosthetic clinical patient management and research.

The goal is to provide opportunities for professionals to learn and share their experience in working with patients who require orthotic and prosthetic management of musculoskeletal and neurological disorders.

 

John Brinkmann, CPO, LPO, FAAOP

John is an ABC-certified and state-licensed prosthetist/orthotist with over 20 years of experience treating a wide variety of patients. He is also a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (FAAOP), Chair of the Academy Gait Society, and a member of the Lower Limb Prosthetics, Lower Limb Orthotics, and Craniofacial Societies. 

John received a Bachelor of Science degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics from Southwestern Medical Center School of Allied Health in Dallas Texas in 1990. His clinical background includes a broad range of orthotic and prosthetic clinical patient management and fabrication.

One of John’s interests is to translate research related to orthotics and prosthetics into practical clinical solutions. He speaks regularly to professional and consumer groups on subjects related to orthotic and prosthetic care.
